What can CRTA do for you?

Yolo County, Division 83, includes retired teachers, administrators, counselors, librarians, and all other certified employees from Davis, Esparto, West Sacrament, Winters and Woodland School Districts.

On May 27, over 60 educators put on their party chapeauxs, sun bonnets and baseball caps for the 80th birthday party at the Gibson House Yolo County Museum in Woodland. Not only did we celebrate CRTA’s 80th. year of advocating for educational retirees, but we honored 24 Yolo County Div. #83 retirees who were 80 years young and beyond. It was one of the few times in life that our honorees can say they received a “free lunch.” See a photograph of the retirees on the Newsletter page.

The program, after the business meeting was hosted by Karen Lafferty, our legislative chair who is on the Board of Directors of the Gibson House Museum. She gave a short history of the William Byas Gibson Family.

What could be more delightful than having a picnic with friends and former educators-in- arms where you can have your cake and eat it, too?
